Lamborghini, which is of Italian origin and currently continues its production under Volkswagen through Audi, is taking the first official step in its electrification journey. The company shared some tips about the first electric Lamborghini model in its share on the X platform. Here are the details and X sharing by Lamborghini…
The first fully electric Lamborghini debuts on August 18!
Lamborghini will unveil an electric supercar concept for Monterey Car Week on August 18. Prior to the event, the Italian automaker released a promotional photo on social media that preserves the classic Lamborghini shape, while not providing much information. This promotional event will actually give us ideas about a concept.
The electric Lamborghini concept was actually introduced by the brand 2 years ago. In the two-year period, some steps were taken towards electrification with the hybrid version of the Lamborghini Huracan model and the hybrid versions of the Revuelto. But we haven’t had the chance to see a fully electric Lamborghini concept yet. The brand marks the date of August 18 on the calendars for this.
When it comes to electric cars, the job of supercar manufacturer brands is even more difficult. As it is known, there are no parts such as transmissions in electric cars. This overcomes the difficulty for brands to produce fast cars, because electric motor cars are already quite fast. In this case, we can say that the jobs of the brands that design cars in the class called supersport and exotic will become even more difficult.
There is also another dimension to the job. As it is known, brands such as Lamborghini and Ferrari, which produce cars in this class, like to stand out with their different and unique features. As it is known, a sound reminiscent of Formula 1 cars comes from the exhausts of Ferraris. Lamborghini sound is also a sound that you can distinguish when you listen to it. But the electrification journey will actually erase these sounds, which are thought to reflect the spirit of cars, from our memories.
So what do you think about this? Do you think electric cars like Lamborghini and Ferrari harm the spirit of brands? Or do new technology cars take brands one step further?
