Electric car manufacturer Tesla made the first deliveries of its pick-up model Cybertruck at an event held today. Thus, a new era officially began for Tesla. However, not everyone is very happy about the Tesla Cybertruck. World-famous technology YouTuber Marques Brownlee was among those who criticized Tesla Cybertruck.

Marques Brownlee, who has millions of followers, is one of the well-known names in the technology world. In fact, Brownlee was one of the names next to Elon Musk at the Cybertruck launch in 2019. Tesla, which also favored Marques Brownlee, delivered the internet phenomenon’s Tesla Cybertruck a few days ago. As such, the ideas of MKBHD, also known as MKBHD, were important for this electric pick-up, as he was one of the first to test it.

“Tesla failed to keep its promises for the first time”

Marques Brownlee announced that Cybertruck was the first car in which Tesla could not keep its promises. In fact, the famous phenomenon was not so wrong. Yes; Tesla Cybertruck is a truly impressive car even in its current state, but Elon Musk had made much more assertive statements years ago.

Statement by Marques Brownlee:

The Tesla Cybertruck is the first time Tesla has clearly failed to deliver on some of the key features it promised.

Promised features:
800+ kilometers range.
$70,000.

Features of the delivered vehicles:
Range up to 550 kilometers.
$100,000.

Tesla and other manufacturers have taken the view that the multi-pound battery packs required to provide 500 miles of range with today’s battery technologies are not worth affecting driving dynamics. At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Roadster 2.0 doesn’t have anywhere near the 1,000-kilometer range either.

Tesla may not have been able to keep all of its promises for Cybertruck. However, Elon Musk is also aware of this. In fact, Musk made a statement about this and said that he did not care much about whether this vehicle would sell or not. Musk underlined that he and his team did not build a traditional pick-up and stated that their goal was to create a great car. So Elon Musk doesn’t care much about making a promise he couldn’t keep.
