Haluk Levent Announces His Next ‘Target’: Yemeksepeti

Haluk Levent, who helped solve the crisis by mediating between Migros warehouse employees and Migros management, shared his next goal today. Speaking to journalist İsmail Saymaz, Levent said that Yemepsepeti was next.

Employees of Migros’ warehouse in Esenyurt, which has been protesting for a long time, ended their protest with victory the other day. During the protests, 250 employees who were members of DGD-SEN, among the employees who demanded improvement of working conditions, were dismissed and some employees were detained. Thanks to the mediation of Haluk Levent and the AHBAP platform, the employees and Migros had reached an agreement.

After the protests at Migros ended in favor of the employees, eyes were turned to another giant company where the protests continued. Sharing after the Migros solution, DGD-SEN said, “We call on our people to increase solidarity with Yemeksepeti workers and to boycott Yemeksepeti.” made statements. Today, a statement came from Haluk Levent about Yemeksepeti.

Yemeksepeti will be the next issue to be resolved:

Haluk Levent, who met with Public TV writer Journalist İsmail Saymaz, said, “The next meal is Yemeksepeti.” used the phrases. Haluk Levent, Ismail Saymaz’s question about the process after the solution in Migros, “What will happen next?” He answered the question as follows:

Haluk Levent also shared details about Migros events:

“I was a mediator for Migros workers last year, too, and it was resolved. I have been with a Migros worker for years. I sang in the rain in previous strikes. I find it odd that it was reduced to “A singer solved it”. It would not have been resolved without the resolute stance of the union and the workers.

Did they say ‘Come and untie’?

It was tense. The tension was going unresolved. “Do you want me to be a mediator?” said. “Please” they said. I went to both Migros and the workers… Nine days passed with calls and phone traffic. Yesterday (The previous day) I said “Let’s meet at Dude”. After eight and a half hours of nonstop discussion, we resolved the issue.

Haluk Levent stated that all the demands of the union were accepted in the negotiations, and in the end, the two parties parted happily.
