Staten left Bungie prior to the release of Destiny in 2013 and returned to Microsoft in 2014 to work on non-Halo titles in the Xbox portfolio. But like all good things, this too has an end.
Joseph Staten is leaving Microsoft completely
Staten left Xbox’s global publishing team in August 2020 to join 343 Industries to help develop Halo Infinite. At that time, the game had already been delayed from its original release date in November 2020 to 2021. Staten helped launch Infinite in December 2021, but the game had some launch issues.
These included the delay of campaign co-op and Forge modes, which were not released until November 2022. In January, Staten left 343 Industries to return to Xbox’s publishing division after layoffs from the studio. Now he is leaving Microsoft completely.
What Will Be the Future of Halo Infinite?
