Axie Infinity claims that announcements showing a private minting have been deleted. The Axie Infinity team also said, “Many projects with the MEE6 bot installed on their servers have faced similar issues. RTFKT, PROOF/Moonbirds, PXN, Memeland, Cool Cats and others have reported that their administrator accounts have been hacked. We have removed the Mee6 bot from the server and we will never do a surprise minting.”

According to MEE6 official support, MEE6 was not hacked, but administrators on servers were compromised, which allowed attackers to use MEE6 features to send messages. According to Discord security experts, hackers probably first attacked administrator accounts to create a response role feature from MEE6 to give them an alternate account manager. Attackers using the method send webbook messages while hiding the compromised administrator account. Project Axie Infinity has been causing a negative mood lately with delays and hacks.
