Gulfstream G800 ultra-long-range business jet makes its maiden flight

US-based Gulfstream Aerospace, which produces private jets for business life, made the first flight of its new ultra-long-range G800 aircraft. The company says the new G800 will be the longest-range aircraft in the industry.

With a wingspan of 31 meters

Taking off from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, the Gulfstream G800 has successfully completed its first two-hour test flight using sustainable aviation fuel. Equipped with two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines with high thrust, the G800 offers a range of 14,816 kilometers at Mach 0.85 and 12,964 kilometers at Mach 0.90.

Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream, said: “We changed the game once again for our industry when we announced the first G800 test aircraft last fall. Gulfstream G800, which will be tested for approximately 1 year, has 16 windows and has a passenger capacity of up to 19 people. Coming with a wingspan of 31 m, the aircraft will be able to take off from runways with a length of 1,800 m.
