GTA producer now owns Zynga
Known as the developer of popular mobile games such as FarmVille, Golf Rival, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, Words With Friends and Zynga Poker, Zynga Games has been acquired by Take-Two, which also owns Rockstar Games. After the deal, an interesting development took place in the stock market: Zynga shares rose by 40 percent, while Take Two’s stock fell by 13 percent.
Things are going pretty well economically on the Rockstar Games front, which has recently received a great reaction just like CD Projekt RED, the producer of Cyberpunk 2077. The company, which did not announce GTA 6 due to the fact that GTA V is still printing money in the Online section, has now bought Zynga Games, one of the most well-known companies in the mobile game world.
Finally, Zynga Games, which introduced FarmVille 3 to the players in the past period and reached 1 million players in the last 2 months, will now work under Take-Two, which is also owned by Rockstar Games. Publishing an official statement on the subject, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, said that they will develop games with the company for both mobile and consoles in the new period, and that nearly 3,000 of Zynga’s employees will now continue to work within Take-Two.
