Pac-Man, one of the most successful and legendary games of a period, is being adapted for the big screen. While the hit production has appeared in movies and TV shows before, Bandai Namco has given the green light for a live-action special of the game.
Work begins at Wayfarer Studios
Bandai Namco, which owns the rights to the brand, is working with Wayfarer Studios (the studio behind Disney Plus’s Clouds) for the new production, according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, while the project is stated to be still in “development”, it will be based on the original idea of Chuck Williams, who served as an assistant producer on the 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
It will move forward with a 10-year plan like DC Marvel
On the other hand, Pac-Man, which has become one of the best-selling and highest-grossing games of all time, currently holds eight Guinness World Records. Although what is known about the upcoming Pac-Man movie is limited, it seems that we will meet with big screen adaptations of many popular productions in the future.
