Airbnb, one of the world’s most popular home rental services, has launched a project that will delight Shrek fans. Within the scope of this project, the company collaborated with DreamWorks, the producer of Shrek, and built the house where the famous animated character lives in the real world. Moreover, a few lucky people will have the opportunity to stay in Shrek’s house. Let us tell you before you ask; Shrek’s house is located in the Highland Council region of Scotland.
The movie Shrek, which we first had the chance to see in 2001, told the adventures of the green creature of the same name and his best friend, the donkey. The swamp where these two friends lived was turned into a real place in Scotland. Airbnb users will have the opportunity to spend a few days in this swamp by making reservations between 27-29 October.
This is what visitors’ accommodation will look like
Lucky people who have the opportunity to stay in a special concept designed based on the original of the animation that has attracted millions will be able to benefit from free waffles in the morning. In addition, the surroundings of the facility, which is in a forest area, will be open to visitors. Nature enthusiasts will also be able to explore the unique nature of Scotland while living in Shrek’s swamp.
One of the most striking features of the facility is that it has an external toilet and bathroom. When visitors want to meet their needs, they will have to go to the bathroom, which is approximately 20 meters away from the room where they sleep.
The aesthetic appearance outside the facility will also greet us inside. Visitors will feel like they are in the Shrek movie in the room with a simple design.
Airbnb did not make a statement regarding the cost of the facility, which will host visitors only between 27-29 October. Additionally, no information was given about the reservation process.
