The layer is the most remarkable innovation. Discord says this widely used feature is re -created from scratch to make it more fluent than ever to chat with users’ favorite games. The biggest change is the way the layer works. Previously, the layer was directly connected to the window of the game and affected the performance of the game in this process. The new version of the layer offers a faster experience that focuses on what users attach most importance to.The new overlay, widget -based and separates settings. Thus, the user can place them anywhere on the screen. The new action bar also allows users to quickly control the audio and video controls, live broadcasts and voice calls. Even other Discord users can now play in the layer as a window.
With this update, Discord also renewed the design of the desktop client. There are three theme options: Light, Ash, Dark and Onyx. In the meantime, the re -sized servers on the channel, more visible audio and video settings and a renewed color scheme for the entire application.
