At the Developer Conference 2023, Huawei announced the new operating system HarmonyOS 4 for various smartphones and tablets and offered it for those who want to test it. It also shared the first devices that will receive the HarmonyOS 4 update. The company shared the information that the new software is installed on 5 million devices.
1 million downloads in 1 day!
HarmonyOS 4 was installed on 5 million devices in just two weeks. In the first day, 1 million people updated their device to HarmonyOS 4. Huawei provides the ability to install new software on old devices, but that’s still a big number.
What does HarmonyOS 4 bring?
Senior Huawei official Mr. Gang says that HarmonyOS 4 brings new visual and interactive experiences such as customizable themes. He adds that they not only provide entertainment to users, but also enable them to explore a whole new world with the live window feature.
The SuperHub feature that comes with HarmonyOS 4 can efficiently transfer and store files through supporting applications and different scenarios. The new HarmonyOS also focuses heavily on security and privacy. In terms of performance, there is a 20% system-wide, 30% increase in battery life. It can handle higher frame rates compared to the previous version.
