Grayscale has recruited an important name from the Obama-era Justice Department as part of its Bitcoin ETF efforts.

Leading digital asset manager Grayscale continues its Bitcoin ETF pressures with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In this context, the company acquired Donald B. Verrilli Jr., the Attorney General of the Obama-era Department of Justice. Grayscale’s vice president of communications, Jennifer Rosenthal, announced the event on her Twitter account, highlighting the company’s determination to convert GBTC into an ETF.

Grayscale has long been putting pressure on the SEC to convert the Bitcoin fund GBTC into an ETF. The company, which has written many letters to the institution on the subject, thinks that the SEC is being arbitrary in this regard. As it is known, the SEC is keeping a distance to the spot Bitcoin ETF, citing manipulation concerns.
