Valve’s handheld console Steam Deck, which was released in the past months, did not attract enough attention, although it was designed as a game monster. Although there are some improvements made on the console, users still continue to try different ways on the Steam Deck.

Recently, the BIOS had released an update that could allow users to install Windows 11. This time, a YouTuber made an interesting attempt on the Steam Deck. Connecting the RX 6900 XT graphics card to the Steam Deck, the YouTuber managed to run the console in this way.

RX 6900 XT can be connected to Steam Deck

YouTuber named ETA Prime, installed a desktop video card on Steam Deck. He decided to connect to e and shared this initiative with his followers. Since Steam Deck does not have a Thunderbolt connection on it, he managed to connect the video card with the help of an adapter. RX 6900 XT works with AMD Radeon graphics cards, Steam Deck does not open when NVIDIA graphics card is installed.

Of course, although it works, connecting a graphics card to the Steam Deck means it will work with slower microSD storage. Despite this, the system is 5 to 10 times faster than Steam Deck’s iGPU. At the same time, it gets a constant 60 FPS even in games such as Cyberpunk 2077, GTA 5, Elden Ring. With this system of ETA Prime, it can offer a fluent gameplay in many games that many of us do not open or have difficulty even if they do.
