Google continues to develop better tools to monitor energy production and consumption to reach its goal of 24/7 carbon-free energy. As part of these efforts, the technology giant announced a new tool called Time-Based Energy Attribute Certificates (T-EAC) last year.
T-EAC, once fully developed and widely deployed, will not only help Google achieve its goal of 24/7 carbon-free energy, but will also benefit the power grids and everyday life from this technology.
To date, Google has partnered with many institutions and organizations to develop this platform. Creating the technical foundation for developing innovative applications such as Project Energy Origin Platform, the company has also collaborated with Danish Network operator Energinet. Google has made it clear that it plans to base its global operations on 24/7 carbon-neutral energy by 2030.
