In the last few months, we have encountered some rumors about the Google Pixel Fold, which is expected to be Google’s first foldable phone. But now it looks like we also have high-resolution images that purport to show the full possible design.
While these images, shared by the plausible YouTube channel FrontPageTech, are not official images, they were apparently created based on images and other information obtained by channel sources.
We can say that these images look like you would expect a foldable Pixel to appear in most respects. The rear features a large camera setup similar to the Pixel 7 and a non-foldable secondary display with a punch-hole camera. We can even say that this device looks like a slightly chunkier Pixel 7 when folded.
When you open the phone, you encounter a much larger foldable screen. But unlike its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, the foldable screen here does not have a punch-hole camera. Instead, there are surprisingly large bezels at the top and bottom of the screen, with the selfie camera placed on one of them.
Other shared details include that the cameras on both screens are apparently 9.5MP, the phone is metal and glass coated, supports 5G and will come in white and black color options only.
It looks like there will be a fingerprint sensor built into the power button and speakers on the top and bottom edges. While the name of this phone has yet to be confirmed, FrontPageTech’s sources say it’s internally referred to as the Pixel Fold.
Allegedly, the Google Pixel Fold will be available from May. However, since it is said that the price of the phone will be $ 1,799 (excluding the changes that may occur when coming to our country), it is useful to prepare yourself in advance. Still, at least in the USA, we can say that this price is not too surprising, since the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has the same price tag.
Of course, as always, it is useful to approach this leak with some skepticism. But prolific leaker Jon Prosser, the face and voice of FrontPageTech, states that he “trusts this information very, very heavily.”
