We often saw advertisements of competing technology giants referring to each other. Now, such a move came from Google. The tech giant has released five short ads comparing Pixel phones to Apple’s iPhone.

The theme of these hilarious ads is the Pixel 7 Pro (Pixel Fold in a video) and an obscure iPhone being “best friends.” Google’s “What if two phones stopped being rivals and became best friends?” In the campaign, which he introduced with his statements, references are made to Apple by drawing attention to different features from security to charging. In the campaign, the iPhone is portrayed as old, inexperienced, and somewhat naive.

One of the advertisements draws attention to the “VPN” feature of Google Pixel phones, while it is shown that the iPhone has to pay for the VPN.

Google compares the two phones on camera features, envying and praising the iPhone Pixel. While talking in the video, the iPhone suddenly runs out of battery.

In this video titled “Lifeguard”, the iPhone has run out of battery again. The Pixel recharges and saves it with its “battery sharing” feature.

In this video, the duo watches the stars. While iPhone takes a photo with flash, Pixel shows astrophotography mode, which makes the stars clear.

Google also does not skip the foldable phone issue with the Pixel Fold. iPhone faints when Pixel shows it’s foldable!

This sweet advertising campaign of Google was able to collect the admiration of many people. Users expressed that they loved the campaign by making positive comments under the videos on social media platforms. Although Pixel sales are only one-tenth of that of the iPhone, we can say that such campaigns soften the competition and appeal to customers.

Google isn’t the only company that refers to Apple. We’ve seen similar marketing moves from its biggest competitor, Samsung, many times before.
