One of the trends that we have come across in recent years is that games can be played remotely via cloud computing systems. Thus, if you have a sufficient speed internet connection, it is possible to enjoy the games without having a gaming computer.
On the other hand, not every game is available on every platform. Wanting to make the job of gamers easier, Google will now show which game is on which cloud gaming platform. This feature is currently active for movies, TV shows and songs.
What platform the games are on
Until now, Google was acting as a sort of aggregator, showing on which platforms we could find the sought-after series, movies and music. For example, when we increased the series of The Sandman, it was directed to Netflix, and when we searched for The Simpsons, it was directed to platforms such as Disney+. In the same way, the games will be redirected to the platforms.
On the other hand, Google has chosen cloud gaming platforms as its focus while bringing this feature to games. In other words, instead of a platform where you can buy a game we want to play, or a streaming platform where you can play from the cloud, instead of a store. In fact, this makes a lot of sense as Google will also feature Stadia, its own streaming platform. Still, Google plays the game fair and includes not only its own service, but also Amazon Luna, Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
On the other hand, the results can be different on mobile and computer for now. For example, when we search for Destiny 2, we see only the Stadia option in the search on Android, while we also see GeForce Now on the desktop. When we click on the word play next to the services in the search results, we are directed to the service where that game is.
