Google has announced that it will disable translation (Google Translate) in older versions of the Chrome browser. This function is an extremely useful feature that makes it easy to translate the text of a foreign language web page into your native language.

No date yet

Users of Chrome 95 and older may encounter the error “This page cannot be translated” when they try to use Chrome Translate. Released in October 2020, Chrome 95 included many new features such as improved authentication for online payments and saving tab groups.

Google didn’t give a specific date for when translation support in older versions of Chrome will end, but said work has already begun. In the future, users will not be able to translate web pages without a plugin or other alternative methods.
