The operation of the system is quite simple. Thanks to the Rental Location feature added to Google Maps’ bookmarks, it will be possible to mark tourism rental properties on maps. Once this bookmark is selected, price information, how many people can be hosted, and images of the property can be shared.
Rental locations will be listed on Google Maps
When adding rental locations as structured data, they will be listed as Accommodation. Additionally, each structure will have a unique identifier. This identifier will be different from the name or address of the property. Even if the name or owner of the property changes, the identifier will not change. Even if the same property is listed in different languages, the identifier will remain the same.
It will be mandatory to use at least 8 photos in listings. At least 1 of these eight photos will have to include the bathroom, 1 the bedroom and 1 the common area. The exact location and type of the building (such as apartment, bungalow, villa) will also be included in the information. In addition, those who wish will be able to describe different features of their real estate such as Wi-Fi, fireplace and pool in the listings.
For a property to be listed as a Rental Location, it must comply with both the Vacation Rental Policy, Search Basics and General structured data guides. If one of these three is missing, the listing will not appear. We may start seeing the feature on Google Maps soon.
