With the launch of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, Google has launched a massive advertising campaign in the US with the NBA. Employees of the search giant wrote a reply under Tim Cook’s post on October 18, mentioning Pixel smartphones. But the social media team didn’t take anything into account.
The odds continued
The answer was written from an iPhone rather than a Pixel smartphone. Noticing the hashtag “Twitter for iPhone” in the post in question, users started mocking Google. Realizing the mistake, the social media team immediately deleted the post and tried to cover up the situation, but it was too late.
Google reposted the same tweet a day later, but there was still something strange. The answer was written from the web version of Twitter, not from an Android smartphone. It is not yet known why the person in charge of the official Google account did not use the company’s own technology to do this.
