Google’s Android operating system got the new Material You design with the Android 12 update released last year. It has also been updated by Google to adapt to Android’s new colorful design in apps.

Chrome, Messages, Google Play, and more are starting to adopt Android 12’s Material You design. Now, Google Translate app goes even further and switches to Material You design in widgets.

New theme for Google Translate’s widgets

Late last year, translation app Google Translate got Material You design on Android 12 devices. However, the app’s widgets lacked this innovation. Fortunately, after a long time, Google got a hand in this too.

US-based Google announced that it will update the new widget design that it will add to the Translate application, with its Twitter account. While the widgets added will make the application easier to use, it will also have a new design. Among the new widgets to come, there are voice, speech, decipher and camera modes with “Translate Quick Actions”. With the other added “Save Translation” shortcut, you will be able to view your latest translations in one place. On the other hand, it is possible to resize the widgets. You can customize and size the shortcuts according to your own preference.

When we looked at the current application, there was only a single 1×1 shortcut. Fortunately, with the new update, users will be able to enlarge these dimensions a little more. Also, with the new Material You makeover to widgets, the dynamic color theme available in Android 12 will automatically adapt to widgets. We guess that the innovation that is announced now will be available to users with the next update.
