Misleading Pixel 4 experiences shared
The lawsuit, which is reportedly led by Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York and Texas, and the FTC, alleges that Google sent various texts to media agencies regarding Pixel 4 ads and paid for fake reviews. While these ads are reported to be shared without sending any test samples to the servers, the software giant may have to pay a fine of $ 9.4 million.
In the official statement shared, the FTC stated that Google showed a blatant disregard for the rules of accuracy in advertising, and stated that misleading ads were broadcast 29,000 times by iHeartMedia and 11 other radio networks.
We can say that Google was not late in responding to the allegations. In a statement to Engadget, Google spokesperson José Castañeda said the company is “pleased” to be handling the situation and is taking advertising laws “seriously”. In addition, the official said that Google has reached agreements with six of the seven states.
