US-based technology giant Google held the long-awaited Pixel event today. While the giant company brought the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro phones together at the event, it also introduced its first smart watch, the Pixel Watch.
Apart from these devices, Google also shared with us new details about its highly anticipated new tablet, the Pixel Tablet. The company first showed this tablet at the I/O event held in May, and announced that the device would be released in 2023. At today’s event, some new details about the device were shared.
Pixel Tablet can act as a smart display
Let’s first point out that the device, which shows that Google will return to tablets, has not been introduced today. The company shared only a few details about the Pixel Tablet, which will be introduced in 2023 at the event. The tablet, which will come with the Android operating system, will have the Tensor G2 chip, which we saw in Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, as expected.
Google also confirmed a long-talked feature of the highly anticipated device. Accordingly, the Pixel Tablet will have a magnetic speaker dock that can charge the device 24/7. This will enable the device to be used both as a smart display and as a portable tablet. So the new feature will make the tablet a versatile device, by doing so it can be used both at home and elsewhere. The feature will also make video calls even easier with the front and rear camera on the tablet.
Google has not yet shared any details about the features such as screen size, RAM, resolution, and price of the new tablet. We have to wait until 2023 to find out about them.
