Google has changed the minimum requirements for the new Android 13 operating system. Google services will no longer work on smartphones with less than 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Let’s remind you that in the days of Android 11, the company introduced a restriction for devices with less than 2GB of RAM. While a simplified version called Android 11 GO was offered for these models, models with 512MB of RAM were completely excluded.
Now the next step is being taken. Although many modern smartphones have 4-6 GB of RAM, there are also models of rather low quality. It looks like these will be excluded from the update. On the other hand, budget-friendly Android devices are not usually released with the latest version of Android, so it may take some time before manufacturers stop selling devices that don’t meet these requirements as well.
