The Google Play logo was last changed in 2016. We think that Google, which has used this logo without changing it for the past 6 years, thinks it’s time to make a change. Although the triangular form and general theme are preserved in the new logo, the changes are noticeable.

Although the Google Play Store logo continues its triangular form, we can say that the corners are more rounded compared to the old logo. In addition, the four colors in the logo are now closer to the colors that symbolize Google. We see that the blue and green colors clearly take on a darker tone.
In addition, the blue triangle section, which was much larger in the old logo, is a little smaller in the new version. Thus, the size of the blue part approaches other colors. However, at this stage, there are only small-size images of the new logo.

The new logo appears on both GPay and Google Pay when you perform a Play Store action such as adding credit to the account. We do not yet know when the new logo will be used. In other parts of the application, the old logo still serves.
That’s why we can say that Google has not officially started using the new Play Store logo yet. There is no clear information about when the new logo will be used in other parts of the application. Google may also want to symbolize the new era in the Play Store with the new logo.
As it is known, sections such as Play Books, Movies and TV in the Play Store have been removed, and it has been announced that the Play Store will focus entirely on Android applications. Let’s see when Google will fully present the new logo to us?
