For a long time, gamers have preferred different applications to play mobile games on the computer. With these applications, we were able to install a virtual smartphone or emulator suitable for the features of our computer and experience the games.
It looks like Google has decided to take matters into its own hands. The technology giant has opened the Google Play Games for PC feature, which it previously allowed some users to participate in its tests, to access in 5 countries. Thus, players had the chance to access Android games directly.
New feature from Google for Android games
In fact, Google had invited some users to test this feature before. However, a public beta process was not carried out, these tests were conducted with a closed group. That group was also working by invitation method.
South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Australia were selected as the first countries to try the feature in the open beta. With the new statement, gamers in these countries did not need to wait for an invitation. On the other hand, countries selected for the open beta will not be able to access the feature on the same date. The feature will be rolled out first for South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with Thailand and Australia added in March.
Another highlight of the announcement is that Google has managed to lower the system requirements of the application quite a bit. Google Play Games PC, which required at least 8 core processors, player-computer level GPU and 20 GB of free storage space in its first version, managed to reduce these requirements to 4 core processors, integrated GPU and 10 GB storage in the open beta.
Google currently supports more than 50 games in this application, including productions such as Summoners War, Cookie Run: Kingdom, Last Fortress: Underground.
