Google is putting its newly announced Google Play Games for PC service into beta testing today. In this context, it becomes available for three countries. The app was first announced during The Game Awards last month. In addition to offering Google Play games on platforms such as mobile, tablet and ChromeOS, it also allows you to play on Windows PCs.
Google has announced that the new PC support will cover both laptops and desktops. Thus, players have the chance to continue their games on the computer from where they left off on the phone. This was an important step in ensuring continuity.
PC beta will include over 25 games
The company had previously announced the first markets to gain access to the PC app, which is expected to arrive in early 2022. However, there was no exact date yet. Once the service is in beta, testers get access to popular mobile games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Summoners War, State of Survival: The Joker Collaboration, and Three Kingdoms Tactic.
Google has clarified that beta testers will have access to more than 25 games in total. The new PC application allows users to browse the catalog, then download and experience the games on a big screen, and finally take advantage of mouse and keyboard input.
Google Play Games will offer PC version sync
The company also stated today that progress in games will be synchronized across devices. The PC app launch also includes a partnership with Amazon and the Amazon Appstore, following Microsoft’s latest move to bring Android apps to Windows 11.
Google Play app for PC was not co-created with Microsoft. In other words, the company’s own application that it creates and distributes in-house. In addition, it is not a game streaming service. Players need to download the productions to their computer to experience them.
