Google Play app pages normally listed which components an app was using. This data was obtained by scanning the Apk file. Data Safety, on the other hand, includes lists prepared by developers.

In the Google Play console, it makes a list by asking the developers what components or data to use. The sanctions, up to the deletion of the account, for the developer to give different information even though it should be, give results.

As of July 20, developers have to put the Data Safety module in their apps. As a matter of fact, this new module will replace the standard permission list on the application page. It is thought that the list of permissions left to the honesty of the developer, instead of detailed lists, may attract a reaction.
