Google Photos aims to provide convenience to its users with the update it has received. Currently, to view the images on your device in the app, you have to tap the Library tab. From here, you can access the relevant area by opening the Screenshots tab. This process is now more functional and easier.
The company is adding a shortcut that will let you access the Screenshots folder from the Google Photos home screen. With this shortcut, you can directly switch to the relevant pane. In this way, you can easily see the screenshots you have taken without clicking on additional places.
Google Photos made it easy to get to the screenshots section
In the current version, Google Photos shows the Memories section at the top of the home screen, your most recent photos and videos. Now it has added a large shortcut to the top of the home screen. This new shortcut appeared in version 5. 66. 0. 406885096 of the app. You can check your version to see if it comes to you.
As seen in the image above, the new Screenshots shortcut appears as a banner at the top of the home screen. This includes a preview of the last screenshot you took. Next to it is written the number of new screenshots. Google has not yet shared any information on the subject. This is expected to appear when snapshots are taken.
Memories section coming to web version soon
Google Photos, which recently worked on the web version, is getting a feature of the mobile version. Google announced on Wednesday that the Memories section, which acts as a photo album, will soon be available on the desktop side.
Similar to the mobile app, the Memories section is at the top of the photos gallery on the web. You can, however, click on the empty black area on either side to manually jump back and forth through the photo collection. When you click anywhere on the photo, it pauses the slide show.
You have the opportunity to customize the types of memories you want to see from the settings section of the web version. You can also hide people, pets and photos from a certain period, just like on the mobile side. Google states that the images you have previously hidden on different devices are also not included in the web version. In addition, if you do not want to see the Memories section at all, you have the opportunity to turn it off.
