In addition, Google engineers, who want to take RCS and SMS technology to the next step, announced that users can save messages containing meeting dates, birthdays and reminders in the messages they receive by simply pressing and holding the message to the calendar, notes and reminder applications.

Engineers stated that they have brought the “embedded YouTube video” feature, which has been in WhatsApp and Telegram for a long time, to the messages application. In addition to all these features, Google announced that they have signed an agreement with the US aircraft company United and that all Google Messages users flying on United’s planes will be able to message for free at no cost.
