The fact that Google will drop 32-bit support with the Pixel tablet will significantly reduce RAM usage. However, in return, 32-bit applications will not run on the tablet. So this means that only 64-bit based apps will run on the tablet.
This transition could be pretty smooth, with Google mandating that all apps support 64-bit in 2019. Many games currently on the Android application market also include 64-bit support.
