Google Maps, which has been updated with features such as a three-dimensional view, more detailed navigation and filters in the past weeks, is now changing its interface colors. The change, which was tested in the past months, has started to be made available for general use.

The new color palette aims to make the items on the map easier to distinguish. For example, roads that were white now appear grey. In this way, pedestrian crossings that appear when zoomed in become more visible. The colors of buildings and other structures continue to be gray and light yellow.

On maps, highways now appear in dark gray instead of yellow. The gray color makes it easier to see the roads. Light tone green has started to be used in parks and green areas. The marine color has also been replaced with a lighter blue.
The new look is now available for Android and iOS users. The update will be rolled out to all users gradually.
