Google Maps, one of the most popular map services of today, continues to update it with new features. The Live View update, which was introduced by Google last September and will bring new AR (augmented reality)-based functions to the platform, has been opened to users as of today.

It will show the highlights through the camera

To recall, the Live View feature first appeared in 2019. Thus, Google gave users the opportunity to navigate the streets and get directions using the camera on their phones. The new update will allow users to now get more information for restaurants, ATMs and public transport stations. You can also see the working hours, price range and how busy these businesses are.

In addition to the search feature with Live View, Google Maps also gained new capabilities that will delight electric vehicle users. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to search for fast charging or normal charging stations by choosing which charging port their electric vehicle has.

In addition, Google announced that the “Accessible places” feature, which will make it easier to find wheelchair-accessible locations, has been made available all over the world with the new update. According to information provided by Google, the Maps Live View search feature is currently only available in Los Angeles, London, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Tokyo. It is expected to be available in our country in the near future.
