Payment of 8 billion dollars to Samsung in four years!

According to Bloomberg’s report, the amount Google paid Samsung to be the default on Galaxy smartphones and tablets; 8 billion dollars in four years! The internet search giant paid Samsung to make Google Assistant the default voice assistant, Google Play Store the default app store, and Google Search the default search engine app. Google also pays Android device manufacturers to keep their apps on the home screen.

It’s clear that Google is doing this to prevent Android OEMs from bringing competing services to Android phones. For example; Samsung has its own voice assistant Bixby, app store Galaxy Store. Samsung also has partnerships with Meta and Microsoft. Despite this, Bing is not the default search application on Galaxy phones and tablets.
