Trying to use the devices or applications on the devices for a safer login for a long time, Google is launching pass keys that you can use instead of passwords this week.

The new solution, which we can call Google Passkey or Google passkeys, allows you to log in to your Google account with methods such as the screen lock password, fingerprint reader, facial recognition or your own hardware security key you use on your phone.

Since these methods are more resistant to cyber attacks, they can be preferred instead of one-time passwords such as SMS. Users will be able to see and add automatically generated password keys on the relevant page. At this point, it is recommended to strengthen the screen lock password.

Google normally sends a confirmation screen to the Android devices you use to log into your account. This will be your second alternative. In addition, many sites such as Docusign, Kayak, PayPal, and Shopify offer a Passkey login option as well as a Google account.
