Google’s Pixel smartphones, although not officially available in our country, are in demand globally. Aiming to ease the hand of users for their smartphones in the new period, Google is in the process of switching to the “fix it yourself” system for Pixel models. Google, which paved the way for users to repair their Pixel devices themselves, signed an agreement with iFixit in this context.
Having signed an agreement with iFixit for Pixel smartphones, Google will sell DIY kits for Pixel series smartphones and all upcoming Pixel devices. iFixit is perfect for this partnership. Because the company is famous for disassembling every new smartphone released and revealing the degree of repairability. iFixit, which also sells its own kits, will now officially provide it for Google Pixel smartphones. Samsung has made a similar partnership to this partnership a short time ago.
Google’s Fix It Yourself program, launched in partnership with iFixit, will apply to key components such as batteries, cameras, and replacement screens, as well as other parts needed to repair Pixel smartphones. Pixel owners will purchase these components as part of the Repair Kit so they can repair their own devices themselves. The program, which will be offered in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and other EU countries, starts with the Pixel 6 series.
