Wireless tracking devices have been in our lives for a while and they are very useful technological products that can be lost or attached to products that are likely to be lost. After Apple AirTag, Samsung also released Galaxy SmartTag. Now Google is developing its own smart tracker. Android expert Mishaal Rahman says that Google’s smart tracker will use the quick pairing feature and pass as a locator.

Google “grogu” smart tracker known features

The codename of the smart tracker to be designed by Google’s Nest team is “grogu”. The Google smart tracker will work with both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology. There will be small built-in speaker for audible alerts and there will be various color options. We will most likely have more information about Google’s smart tracker during the Google I/O 2023 event, where the Pixel 8 series will be introduced.

Intelligent tracking devices can be used usefully, such as tracking the location of the suitcase at the airport, as well as maliciously, such as stalking. Fortunately, these products can be updated wirelessly via the paired smartphone.
