Google’s cloud unit (Google Cloud) is forming a Web3 team, as reported by CNBC. In the statements, it was stated that this team was established to create services for developers working on their own Web3 software or blockchain applications.
The head of Google Cloud, Amit Zavery, informed the employees about the issue in an e-mail he sent on Friday. Indicating that they plan to make Google Cloud the number one choice for developers in the industry, Zavery said: “The world is still in the adoption phase of Web3. This market has tremendous potential as many customers have asked us to increase our support for Web3 and crypto-related technologies.”
The manager also stated in his statements that the team will consist of employees who have been involved in Web3. Stating that James Tromans, who was a manager at Citigroup, one of the largest banking companies in the world, and joined Google in 2019, will lead the product and engineering department of the team, Zavery also said: “We are trying to be a direct part of the crypto currency frenzy. We provide technologies for companies to benefit from Web3 in their existing businesses and businesses”
The giant company’s steps in these matters continue. Google Cloud established the Digital Assets Team for blockchain-based platforms in January.
