Technology giant Google first exhibited Google Glass at I/O 2012 and entered the augmented reality glasses market. The company unveiled a prototype of a new AR glasses at this year’s I/O conference. A short video showing some features of the glasses was also shared in the presentation.
Google Glass’s successor is coming
During I/O 2022, Google introduced many new products. In addition, the technology giant also made a short presentation about the AR glasses that it is preparing to launch in the future. In the presentation, the moments when the glasses were able to make real-time language translation were included.
Google announced its first smartwatch: Here comes the Pixel Watch
In the promotional video, when the person in front of the user wearing glasses spoke, the translation was simultaneously in the user’s field of view. In this way, users will be able to communicate easily with people, even if they speak a different language.
There is no timeline for when Google will launch the new AR glasses it is promoting.
