Google’s Google Flights application, which has been in service for 12 years, made it easier for users to find affordable tickets. In a shared blog post, it was announced that the giant company has launched a price guarantee program for airline tickets.
The ticket price guarantee feature, which was first introduced in 2011 and focused on flight tickets, is currently only available in the USA. At the same time, this feature, which is still in testing, is currently only available for certain flights.
If the price of the plane ticket drops, the difference will be refunded!
It’s easy to understand which flights have a “price guarantee” on Google’s Flights service. When the service is entered, there is a dollar sign in the form of a shield on the flights included in the program. When you click on the dollar sign, you can see that the flight is covered by the price guarantee. So how will the program work?
In its statement, Google states that it is confident that the prices of the flights it currently includes in its “price guarantee” will not decrease. However, the company adds that if the price of the purchased flight ticket drops, the difference in price will be refunded to customers under the program. Google says returns are made within 48 hours.
According to the information shared by the company; A user can get a maximum of 500 USD price difference payment back during the year. In addition, if the price difference is less than 5 dollars, the user is not paid. It is not yet known when the system will be released outside of the US.
