Taking its place in the smartphone world with its models called Pixel, Google is preparing to introduce the Pixel 8 series towards the last quarter of this year. The company uses processors produced by itself in its devices. Leaking information about the expected series began to surface.

Google Pixel 8 will switch to a panel that offers 120Hz refresh rate

Although the Pixel series is not on sale in our country, it has reached a significant user base around the world. By following the policy followed by many technology companies, Google reveals hardware differences between its standard models and Pro models.

The display of the standard model in the Pixel 7 series had a 6.3-inch 90 Hz panel. Although Google will shrink on the screen side, it will now increase the refresh rate. According to the news in Android Authority, the standard model Google Pixel 8 will have a panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the other hand, the Pixel 8’s screen is getting smaller. The screen size of the standard model will be 6.17 inches. The source states that the highest brightness of the screen in the standard model will increase to 1,400 nits. This was limited to 1,000 nits on the Pixel 7. Judging by the shared image, Google will make the edges of the series a little more rounded.

A recent news has reached detailed data about the Tensor G3, which is expected to power the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro later this year. According to the source’s share, the processor will offer nine CPU cores (4+4+1), combining Cortex-A510 cores and four Cortex-A715, a single high-performance Cortex-X3 core at 3.0 GHz.
