Google’s video chat application Duo doesn’t get new features very often, but the information that emerges shows that Google Duo will get a few features in Meet. The application, which has recently exceeded 5 billion downloads on the Play Store, will have breakout rooms.
Search rooms are coming to Google Duo
Based on Google Duo’s latest update, XDA Developers has revealed a few features that are likely to come to the app. New information indicates that Duo will be updated with a breakout rooms feature familiar from Meet. Breakout rooms will allow moderators to divide participants into smaller groups based on specific topics, especially in crowded video chats.
Along with breakout rooms, live streaming support and recording meetings on Google Duo will also be available. A message saying “This meeting is broadcasting and recording” will be displayed during the meeting when the recording feature is active.
