Google Drive has been renewed for tablets and foldable phones
As part of the new update, Google offers a more user-friendly Drive experience closer to the web version. Accordingly, the first innovation is in the navigation system. With the renewed design, it will now be possible to switch between folders and subfolders faster. In addition, the update provides users with more detailed information, including the last modification date and the storage space occupied by each file.
Another innovation is the transition to Material 3 design. Grid view now shows each folder and file on a card with the filename at the top of the preview instead of below. The navigation and app bar on the left have also been combined and a separate section with rounded corners has been created for the file view. These changes are accompanied by a brand new color palette.
Google announced that the new version is available for all Google Workspace customers and users with a personal Google account. Moreover, the innovations in Google Drive are not limited to these. The editing format in Docs, Sheets, and Slides has changed since March, and improvements for larger mobile devices are ongoing.
