Google Cloud has agreed to run a validator Node for Ronin, Axie Infinity’s Ethereum sidechain.
Google Cloud has previously partnered with other blockchain and distributed ledger-based networks. He also confirmed transactions for video platform startup Theta Labs and joined Hedera Hashgraph’s board of directors. Finally, he made a deal with Sky Mavis, the developer of Axie Infinity.
Google Cloud Takes On Verification Duty for Axie Infinity
Today, Sky Mavis announced that it has reached an agreement with Google Cloud that will allow the international tech giant’s cloud computing division to run a validator Node on Ronin.
According to the agreement, Google Cloud will help secure the Ethereum sidechain network and process transactions. A Sky Mavis representative declined to share specific terms of the deal.
Google Cloud said:
“Applying an inspiring play-and-win concept of community building, common ownership, Sky Mavis is a powerful example of how the cloud can enable blockchain technologies to create innovation and value for individuals.”
According to the news in Decrypt, Google Cloud has already been a strategic partner of the initiative since 2020, and a new step has been taken in the relationship. Cloud solutions firm Searce will assist with the collaboration.
