Google says that with the new autofill option it will launch, an extra layer of security will be added when making online payments. The company states that it will offer a similar use case as a contactless payment experience in a physical store, eliminating the need to manually enter card details for each purchase.
Users will be able to manage their virtual card details at pay.google.com and enable and disable the feature for eligible cards, as well as view their virtual card numbers and track their recent transactions. Google can use virtual cards for one-time purchases as well as for subscriptions.
