Google Search offers a slight improvement for people who put words in quotation marks when performing their searches. According to a blog post by the tech giant, he said, after evaluating user feedback, words or phrases that a person puts in quotes make the text appear in bold in Google Search results.
Snippets, which are lines of text that appear below a search result, will now show part of the article directly in search and bold the word or phrase in quotation marks.
For example, if someone searches for “Galaxy Z Fold 4” in quotes, Google will convert the results by typing those words in bold and showing where they appear in the article. This can make searching faster for users by allowing them to see if relevant searched information is in the article before clicking a link.
Google said it didn’t always put that emphasis in the past, as it’s possible for the phrase a person is searching for to appear in a page’s menu. It can be predicted that a part about a menu button will not be very useful for some people.
Bolding words is currently only available to desktop users. Google hasn’t made a statement as to whether or when bolded queries will come to mobile devices.
