Search giant Google has finally announced its first smartwatch, which has been on the agenda for a long time. The company released a video about the device called Pixel Watch at yesterday’s I/O developer conference, but did not give much information about the technical features.

The comprehensive announcement of the smartwatch will take place in the fall. For now, we can say that a preview has been made. Google Pixel Watch has a round stainless steel case. On its right side is the digital crown and a physical button that offers haptic feedback.
Google Pixel Watch will appear with replaceable strap options. The smartwatch will run the updated version of the Wear OS 3 operating system. It should be noted that new features such as advanced navigation and smart notifications are mentioned on the software side.
Deep integration with Fitbit
Google says the device will have deep integration with Fitbit for its health and fitness tracking features. It will be able to monitor heart rate throughout the day and analyze sleep. Promised to provide more information on onboard sensors in the coming weeks.
Pixel Watch will include Emergency SOS feature that will enable you to contact your relatives and emergency services in case of emergency. Judging by the screenshots in the announcement, the device will also offer contactless payment support. That’s all the details announced for now.
Pixel Watch is designed to help Google market its ecosystem. The smartwatch is expected to launch alongside Pixel 7 flagships in the fall. We’ll have to wait again before we can find out the price tag and other details that haven’t been clarified.
