PlayStation 5 has been experiencing stock shortages since the first day it was introduced, and it is not easy to find PlayStation 5 to buy in stores. But now that problem is gone – at least according to Sony that is the case.
“Anyone who wants a PS5 will be able to find the console much more comfortably from this point forward at retailers worldwide,” said Jim Ryan, the company’s head of games during the CES presentation. The company also announced that it has sold around 30 million consoles so far. This number means that another 5 million units have been added to the 25 million sales announced in November.
During the presentation, Ryan said the company was “managing unprecedented demand amid the global challenges of the past two years” and thanked everyone trying to buy a PS5 for their patience.
Let’s hope Sony can put enough consoles on the shelves when it launches the PlayStation VR2 title in February…
