According to Samsung, USB-C flash memory with NAND memory can reach speeds of up to 400MB/s, thus allowing files of 4GB only. It can transfer in 11 seconds. It is also compatible not only with USB 3.1 but also with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
This maximum transfer rate of 400 MB/s is for 128 GB and 256 GB models, while the 64 GB version can reach 300 MB/s.
The design of NAND flash memory has reversible connector, so it can be used to transfer files from computer to smartphone or tablet in seconds. With a thickness of 6.4 mm and a weight of 3.4 grams, the flash memory is also very thin and light, in addition to its stylish design.
According to Samsung, USB-C flash memory is waterproof (up to 72 hours in 1 meter of water). It’s also resistant to magnetism, shocks, heat and even X-rays, making it easy to carry while traveling.
Samsung has not yet announced the price and release date of the new USB-C flash memory, but the company already underlines that it will offer a 5-year warranty.
