Announcing that Silent Hill 2 Remake has finally been developed in a YouTube presentation on Wednesday, Konami also announced that the popular horror game will be adapted for the big screen again as ‘Return to Silent Hill’.

The new adaptation will stay true to the game

Reportedly, Return to Silent Hill will be a direct sequel to the original 2006 adaptation and will be directed by the same director, Christophe Gans. Sharing a little information about the story of the new adaptation, the famous director said, “We decided to return to the best of these stories. The film tells the story of a young man who returns to Silent Hill, where he met a great love, and what he will find is a pure nightmare.”

Victor Hadida, who worked on the 2006 film and returned to production, said that while adding a modern twist to the project, staying true to the spirit of the original game will be the main focus. Thus, we can say that the horror elements in the popular production will appear on the white screen. Konami, which has released a new visual and storyboard for the project, which is still under development, did not share any information about the release date.
